CAPA Juniors is a unique full time arts education provision and entirely free of charge.
Each cohort accepted onto the CAPA Juniors programme follow an enhanced secondary curriculum with additional Dance, Drama, Singing, Music, Production Arts and Creative Media training.
Performing Arts studies will include:
Drama – including Voice, Scripted and Devising lessons
Music/Singing – including instrumental, singing, music technology lessons
Production and Creative Media – including Lights, Sound, Set, Videography lessons
CAPA Juniors have a range of enrichment and performance opportunities both at Cathedral Academy in our professional industry standard facilities and also in regional and national events.
CAPA Juniors are taught in our professional industry standard facilities including:
2 drama studios
3 rehearsal rooms
Creative Media Suite
Production Design Centre
Production Workshop Studio
Whilst the Arts forms a big part of the curriculum, the CAPA Juniors pathway runs alongside Cathedral Academy’s traditional curriculum pathway (with lessons in English, Maths, Science, Humanities, STARS, PE, ICT, MFL, ADT) in order that CAPA Juniors can still access a full, rigorous academic curriculum and are provided with the care, guidance and support to succeed in all areas.
